Seahawks & The Bud Light Cleanup Crew

Selling Bud Light in the PNW can be an uphill battle. PNWers love their craft brews. So, to give Bud Light a shot in the spotlight, we had to rethink a way in. Enter the Bud Light Cleanup Crew. During four home games, we gave fans the chance to clean the tailgate lot with Seattle Legends to win an upgraded game day experience.

For each script, I wrote around something that our starring Seattle Legend was known for. Detlef Schrempf was a forward for the Seattle Supersonics and famously known for his 3 point shots and also for being really, really (I mean REALLY) tall. Oh, you might have also seen him make an appearance on a little known show called Parks and Recreation.

Marcus Trufant is Seattle's Seahawks Darling. He's also a damn good cornerback.

Walter Jones is a true gem. It's no secret that he played offensive tackle–his training plan included pushing A CAR.

Representing the other "football", we had former Seattle Sounders goalkeeper, Kasey Keller, come out and play.

Initially, the Seahawks questioned whether or not fans would be interested in watching other fans clean the tailgate lot on Hawkvision. After working through a few scripts, I was able to land on something that added some swagger, hype and a playful attitude to the do-goodery of recycling. Needless to say, the Cleanup Crew made their way onto Hawkvision. The videos were also pushed through Bud Light's social channels, inviting more fans to sign up and to show the PNW a different side of Bud Light.
